The Kentucky Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association has set up a fund in the name of injured jockey Mike Rowland to provide financial assistance to his family.

According to a spokesman, Rowland remained in a coma as of Saturday afternoon as a result of serious head injuries he received in a three-horse spill at Turfway Park in Florence, Ky., on Feb. 4. Further evaluation of his condition was expected to be made Sunday.

Contributions can be mailed to the Kentucky HBPA at 422 Heywood Ave., Louisville, Ky., 40208.
