First foal for Honor Glide.

Multiple grade I winner Honor Glide's first foal, a colt, arrived at Cloverleaf Farms II near Reddick, Fla. on Jan. 18.

The colt, out of Verdent Hoofer (Green Dancer -- Trove, by Key to the Mint), is a half-brother to stakes winner Topango and winner Shotgun (by Mt. Livermore. Topango, by Distant View, won the $100,000 La Senorita Stakes at Retama Park last year.

Turf specialist Honor Glide, who stands as property of Bonnie Heath Farms at Cloverleaf for a $4,000 fee, won 11 of 38 starts and earned $1,397,187 in six seasons of racing. By Honor Grades out of the Run the Gantlet mare Becky Branch, Honor Glide won two grade I races on turf: the Secretariat Stakes at 3 and the Sword Dancer Invitational Handicap at 5. He also won four other graded stakes and placed in four graded stakes.
