America's Storm, a stakes-placed son of
Storm Cat, will enter stud this year at Joan Rogers' Applebite Farm in French, Camp, Calif. He will stand for $4,000.
In a release, Rogers said she expects to also shuttle America's Storm to stand the Southern Hemisphere season this year.
The 5-year-old horse, out of the Capote mare Lilly Capote, was bred in Kentucky by James Spence and raced for Spence in partnership with Satish Sanan's Padua Stable and Jubilee Stable. Padua retains an ownership interest in his stud career.
America's Storm was consigned by Hartwell Farm, agent, to the 2000 Keeneland September sale. He was purchased by Padua and Gaines-Gentry for $3.6 million.
America's Storm won three of 17 starts from two to four and earned $106,230.
