Officer, a grade I winner who stands at Graham J. Beck's Gainesway Farm near Lexington, Ky., was represented by his first foal, a filly, born Jan. 26 at Ron and Fran Stolich's Blooming Hills Farm near Clements, Calif. The filly's dam, Luv to Stay n Chat (by Candi's Gold), was bred by the Stoliches and is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Miss L Attack.

Officer (Bertrando -- St. Helens Shadow, by Septieme Ciel) was a graded stakes winner at two in New York and California, taking the Champagne Stakes (gr. I) at Belmont Park and the Del Mar Futurity (gr. II) and Best Pal Stakes (gr. III) at Del Mar. He stands for $12,500.
