Grade I stakes-placed Western Expression will enter stud at Highcliff Farm near Delanson, N.Y., for a fee of $10,000 live foal. A son of Gone West and half-brother to 2000 multiple grade II winner King Cugat, Western Expression ran second in this year's Carter Handicap (gr. I) and was retired with three wins from 16 starts and earnings of $140,114.

Western Expression's dam, Tricky Game (by Majestic Light), is a half-sister to grade I winner and major sire Seeking the Gold, to additional grade I winner Fast Play, and to graded stakes winner Stacked Pack.
