Cold Halts Racing at Turfway Park

Turfway Park cancelled the last seven races on Thursday night's 10-race card due to cold temperatures.

Races 4 through 10 were cancelled. The temperature at the time of cancellation was 21 degrees, with winds gusting from the northwest at 22 to 25 mph to create a wind chill of about 5 degrees.

The first three races were completed without incident.

Thursday marked the first time Turfway has been forced to cancel since the winter/ spring Meet began January 1.
