All of the 27 broodmares offered at the Jan. 26-27 Lakeview Thoroughbred Farm dispersal at Barretts Equine near Pomona, Calif., will sell with a complimentary 2004 season to young sire Category Five. A son of Storm Cat, Category Five sired several winners last year from his first crop, including undefeated multiple stakes winner Edgerrin.

Category Five, who was produced from the Nodouble mare Slinkee, formerly stood at Lakeview Thoroughbred near Lakeview, Calif. He was relocated to Sue Hubbard and Associates near Paso Robles, Calif., for the 2004 breeding season. Lakeview Thoroughbred was sold to developers.
