TOBA to Conduct Pedigree, Conformation Clinic at Calder

The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association will hold a two-day conformation and pedigree clinic at Calder Race Course Feb. 1-2.
The clinic, which will feature several aspects of pedigree and conformation, will include evaluations of horses entered in the OBS Calder 2-year-olds in training sale.
Featured speakers include trainers Eddie Plesa and Kenny McPeek, bloodstock agent John Fulton, and consignor Nick De Meric. In addition, presentations will be made by Carl Crockett of The Mostert Group, Patti Miller of EQB, Equineline.com (Tony Attaino), The Greatest Game LLC (Gay Fisher), Amanda Simmons on ownership considerations,
There will also be farrier and veterinary topics.
The seminar will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Directors' Room (5th floor) at Calder and include visits to the backstretch for conformation evaluations. A cocktail reception sponsored by The Mostert Group will wrap up Sunday's evaluations.
The registration fee for the Two-Day Conformation and Pedigree Clinic is $200 for TOBA members and $250 for non-members and includes all support materials, admission, breakfast, lunch, presentations, and stable visit. Spouses and groups of four or more will receive a discount on the registration fee. Space is limited for this seminar.
