Istintaj, Mr. Groush to Market Demand in New Mexico

Graded stakes winners Istintaj and Mr. Groush have moved to Jim Hernandez' Market Demand Farm near Chamberino, N.M. Istintaj, an 8-year-old son of Nureyev out of the Riverman mare Mathkurh, won seven of 21 starts and earned $396,111. His added-money wins came in the Mr. Prospector (gr. III) and Deputy Minister (gr. III) Handicaps, both at Gulfstream Park. Istintaj, who formerly stood at Hartley/De Renzo Walmac South near Ocala, Fla., is owned by RKF Thoroughbreds and will stand for $3,500.

Mr. Groush, a 10-year-old son of Crafty Prospector out of the Secretariat mare Clint's Sec, captured eight of 33 starts, including the Alabama Derby (gr. III) at Louisiana Downs, and earned $516,879. Syndicated Mr. Groush will stand for $2,500. He last stood at Weatherly Horse Farms near Anthony, N.M.
