Applications for seats to this year's Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships at Lone Star Park in Texas will be available beginning Wednesday, Jan. 21. Seating for the Oct. 30 event is priced at $25 to $125.

A crowd of about 50,000 is expected at Lone Star, which will install temporary seating. Here's the ticket breakdown: Pavilion Lawn Field Box Seat ($125), Pavilion Lawn Stadium Seat ($125), Clubhouse Turn Stadium Seat ($75), Clubhouse Turn Bleacher Seat ($50), Upper Stretch Field Box Seat ($100), Upper Stretch Stadium Seat ($75), and Festival Reserved Seat ($25).

Online ticket applications are available at lonestarpark.com. Customers may also obtain applications via e-mail (bctickets@lonestarpark.com) or by calling Lone Star at 972-263-7223 or 800-795-7223.

All applications must be received at Lone Star Park no later than June 4 to be included in a random drawing that will determine the order in which applications will be processed. Applications received after the deadline will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis, dependent upon availability. Tickets will be limited to six per household.

"Interest in this year's Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships has been tremendous," Lone Star president Corey Johnsen said in a prepared statement. "We have already received thousands of inquiries for tickets. At this time, plans call for everyone in attendance to have a reserved seat. That will enable us to provide a high level of customer service and deliver the best experience possible."

Optional seating for the programs of Oct. 28-29 will be available in the ticket packages. Lone Star will hold a special Thoroughbred meet during the month of October.
