TVG to Broadcast From Handicapping Contest

TVG will broadcast live from the DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship Jan. 23-24 from Bally's in Las Vegas.

Now in its fifth year, the event brings together 261 handicappers who took part in sanctioned regional competitions across the U.S. and Canada in 2003. Their goals is to win the $100,000 grand prize (out of a record $240,000 in total prize money), as well as "Handicapper of the Year" title.

Participants are required to place mythical $2 win and place bets on 15 races from tracks across the country during each of the event's two days. A number of these bets are on mandatory races, while the others are optional wagers that can be placed at any track participating in the contest.
