Lord Flasheart, Single Empire, and Perssonet each worked Sunday in preparation for Saturday's $400,000 Hollywood Turf Cup (gr. IT) at Hollywood Park.

Lord Flasheart worked seven furlongs in 1:30 3/5 on the turf with assistant trainer Humberto Ascanio observing for trainer Bobby Frankel. In his most recent start, Lord Flasheart finished second in the French Derby (Fr-I) in June. While trained by Alain de Royer-Dupre, the sophomore won six of 11 starts, including the Prix Hocquart (Fr-II). Victor Espinoza will be in the irons. Frankel may also saddle Del Mar Handicap (gr. IIT) winner Northern Quest prior to the Turf Cup. Northern Quest will be ridden by Gary Stevens.

The Neil Drysdale-trained Single Empire also went seven furlongs on the turf, getting the distance in 1:32 4/5.

Perssonet, who finished third in the Del Mar Handicap, worked six furlongs in 1:14 4/5 on the turf.

Others expected for the 1 1/2-mile Turf Cup are: Bienamado (Chris McCarron); Binn Tin Tin (Corey Nakatani); Lazy Lode (Laffit Pincay Jr.), winner of the last two renewals of the Turf Cup; Vergennes (Garrett Gomez); and Res Judicata (Alex Solis).
