Aqueduct stewards suspended jockey Randy Persaud for seven days for what they said was careless riding.

Persaud was aboard Zipper Pye in Friday's second race, a one-mile claiming heat for 3-year-old fillies, when his mount forced Sage Fire to check in the stretch. Zipper Pye was disqualified and moved from fourth to fifth place. The suspension runs from Monday through Dec. 3.

Persaud will be permitted to ride in the Queens County Handicap on Saturday. If he does, his suspension will be extended to Dec. 4.
