European champion Falbrav, who will enter stud at the Yoshida family's Shadai Stallion Station in Japan, will shuttle to John Messara's Arrowfield Stud in Australia for the 2004 Southern Hemisphere season. A 6-year-old son of Fairy King out of the Slewpy mare Gift of the Night, Falbrav was Cartier champion older male of 2003 and a career group I winner in England, France, Italy, Japan, and Hong Kong, where he won the Hong Kong Cup (HK-I) in his final start. In the U.S., he placed in the 2003 John Deere Breeders' Cup (gr. IT).

"Unlike many other European champions, this horse has been well and truly tested," Messara said. "While Falbrav oozed class, he was really tough as well. He had 26 lifetime starts for 13 wins and 10 placings, including eight wins and four placings in group I company all over the world."

Falbrav will serve a limited book of mares at Arrowfield next season and his fee has not yet been announced.
