Easyfromthegitgo to Stand in Louisiana
Easyfromthegitgo, a stakes winner of nearly $700,000, will enter stud in 2004 at Le Mesa Stallions in Carenero, Louisiana. His stud fee will be $3,500.By Dehere out of the Easy Goer mare Montera, Easyfromthegitgo was a solid 3-year-old in 2002. He won the LeComte Stakes and Iowa Derby, ran second in the Louisiana (gr. II), Oklahoma (gr. III) and Indiana (gr. III) Derbies, and finished third in the Coolmore Lexington (gr. II) and Risen Star Stakes (gr. III).In all, Easyfromthegitgo won four of 22 starts, finished second seven times and ran third twice. He earned $694,780.Bred in Kentucky by Twilite Farms, Easyfromthegitgo was sold at the 2000 Keeneland September sale by Eaton Sales, agent. He was purchased by James Cassels and Bob Zollars for $125,000. Ro Parra would later become a co-owner of the colt.
