Churchill Hires VP of Customer Relations

Churchill Downs Inc. has hired Atiqüe Shah as vice president of customer relations.

Shah will implement a customer relationship management ("CRM") initiative throughout the organization, according to a CDI press release. He will report to Andy Skehan, CDI's senior vice president of sales and marketing. It is hoped CDI's CRM program will create a business and technology foundation to better identify, service, and market to its customers.

"Racing has never faced the level of competition for its patrons that it faces today," said Skehan. "It is absolutely essential that we become adept at identifying and targeting our customers and delivering a high level of service and an enjoyable customer experience.

Shah most recently led the overall enterprise-wide CRM implementation for GSI Commerce, a leading e-commerce solution provider that delivers outsourcing services to more than 50 companies.
