Goodman and ridden by Rodrigo Madrigal Jr., Saint Verre won his debut by 10 3/4 lengths and paid $2.80 as the heavy favorite in the field of seven.Saint Verre's splits were 21.64, 44.53, 56.51 and 1:02.65. The colt was purchased by Goodman for $50,000 from the Eddie Woods consignment to this year's Fasig-Tipton Florida February sale of 2-year-olds in training…Jockey Tony Black will be sidelined six weeks due to a broken foot he sustained prior to Saturday's seventh race at Delaware Park. As Black was exercising his mount, Johnny Dollar, an outrider noticed the horse appeared ready to run off. As the outrider approached to grab the reins of Johnny Dollar, Black's foot became lodged between the two horses. The result was a broken bone along the outside of the rider's left foot. The jockey was taken to Frankford-Torresdale Hospital, where surgery was performed to insert three pins to stabilize the bone. Black had missed three months of competition earlier this year when he broke other bones in his left foot after a mount at Philadelphia Park reared in the paddock…Japanese jockey Yutaka Take was represented by his first winner at Hollywood Park when Lazer Storm won Saturday's sixth race.
