Sara Elizabeth Headley, Owned Manchester Farm, Dead

Sara Elizabeth "Betty" Headley, who owned Manchester Farm with her late husband, Duval Headley, died Dec. 13 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was 88.
Among the top runners bred by Duval Headley were champions Tom Fool, Aunt Jinny, and Dark Mirage. Tom Fool was 1953 Horse of the Year. Betty Headley bred three stakes winners in her name.
Headley was a member of the Keeneland Club and Thoroughbred Club of America. Her husband's uncle, Hal Price Headley, was one of Keeneland's founders.
Headley's survivors include daughters Sally and Louise.
