Dogwood Stables' multiple grade III winner Early Warning has been sold to Prince Miteb bin Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, and will be shipped to that country to campaign in distance races

According to an announcement from Dogwood, the purchase price was approximately $750,000.

"Early Warning has been a wonderful horse for us and anyone would have been proud to have him in their barn," Dogwood president Cot Campbell said. "However, this sale represents a profitable, logical move on our part."

A 5-year-old son of Summer Squall, Early Warning has won nine of 32 starts, with 10 placings, while earnings $521,085. His top triumphs were in the Discovery, Queens County, and Gallant Fox Handicaps, all grade III. In his final start for Dogwood, Early Warning romped to an 18-length allowance win at Saratoga on Aug. 12.
