Racing at five eastern tracks was cancelled Sunday because of heavy snow flurries that pounded the region.

Charles Twon Races, Mountaineer Park and Philadelphia Park joined Laurel and Aqueduct in postponing racing due to the conditions.

Aqueduct was also closed for simulcasting Sunday.

Sunday's racing card at Aqueduct, including the $75,000-added Damon Runyon Stakes for New York-bred 2-year-olds, will now be run on Wednesday. First post is 12:30 p.m.
