(2000, Storm Cat--Halory, by Halo, $7,500, Ashford Stud, Versailles, Ky.). The highest-priced yearling of 2001, at $6.4 million, Van Nistelrooy won or placed in stakes in four of his six starts, with his big win coming in the Galileo E.B.F. Futurity Stakes (Ire-II). (2000, Phone Trick--Pert Lady, by Cox's Ridge, $7,500, Walmac International, Lexington, Ky.). Zavata's Beyer Speed Figure of 112 in winning the 2003 Amsterdam Stakes (gr. II) at six furlongs at Saratoga is one of the highest of the year for a sprinter. He is scheduled to close out his career in the Dec. 26 Malibu Stakes (gr. I). Booklet
