Grade I winner Outofthebox, who covered 104 mares at Richard Simon's Sez Who Thoroughbreds near Ocala, Fla., in 2003 in his first season at stud, will be relocated to Michael O'Farrell's Ocala Stud Farm. Sez Who plans to retain its interest in Outofthebox, whose fee will remain $7,500 live foal.
Bred by Ocala Stud, Outofthebox will join his sire, Montbrook, at the farm. "We're glad to have him home," said O'Farrell, who suffered the loss of Outofthebox's broodmare sire, Notebook, in the summer. Montbrook and deceased Notebook rank one-two on this year's Florida's sire list by progeny earnings.
Five-year-old Outofthebox, who was produced from Cricket Box, scored his grade I win in the Super Derby (gr. I) and earned $734,008.
