Unreal Zeal, who appears headed for his third consecutive leading sire title in Illinois, will stand in 2004 at Harvey and Nancy Vanier's Fairberry Farm near Waterloo for owners Hal Snowden Jr. and Dan Chapin. A 23-year-old son of Mr. Prospector, Unreal Zeal is represented by the earners of $1.6 million this year and has a lifetime total of 25 stakes winners and 23 stakes-placed runners. His fee will be $2,000.
Unreal Zeal, who was produced from the Dr. Fager mare Quick Nurse, formerly stood at Horizon Farms near Barrington Hills. The farm officially discontinued its breeding operation in late summer.
