Allen Named Calder's Director of Product Development

Calder Race Course has named Brant Allen to the new position of director of product development, said Mike Cronin, Calder's marketing director.

Allen's focus will be designing projects to generate greater wagering on the Calder product. He will also be in charge of overseeing and creating new promotions for the Twin Spires Club.

Allen is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Business Administration. He also acquired a degree in Equine Administration from the Race Track Industry Program at the University of Arizona.

Upon graduation from the RTIP, Allen served as simulcast coordinator at Calder until January 1996. Afterwards, his professional career has included several years as director of simulcasting at Arlington Park and for World Gaming, UK. He has also owned Thoroughbreds and Greyhounds over the years.

Allen will begin his duties on December 4.
