A 13-episode series entitled "Thoroughbred" will make its debut on the Animal Planet network on Tuesday, April 3. Narrated by actor Keith Carradine, the series focuses on life at Bonita Farm, a Baltimore-area Thoroughbred farm owned by William Boniface and his family. The Thoroughbred Racing Associations, the American Quarter Horse Race Track Association, and Harness Tracks of America, in association with the American Greyhound Track Operators Association will host the ninth annual International Simulcast Conference Oct. 15-17 at the Hyatt Regency in Louisville, KY. The conference will again feature Simulcasting 101, an informal session for those relatively new to simulcasting. The conference also will host a "Simulcast Mart" for tracks to distribute their schedules and rates for 2002. ...Al Burnett was the runaway winner in the 5th Annual Handicapping Contest at Tampa Bay Downs on March 17th.
