Trainer Eddie Plesa, Jr. saddled four winners from five starters at Calder on Friday.

"This was a good day," said Plesa after his fourth winner, which came in the ninth race. "Needless to say, any time you win four races it's great. Any time you win, no matter what kind of race it is, it's nice, especially for the kind of people we have. There are days you think you have a chance with three or four and you end up with seconds and thirds. Today, everything fell into place."

The record for most winners in one day by a trainer at Calder is five, set by Stanley Hough in 1978 and equaled by John Tammaro in 1988.

Plesa's winners went like this: race 3, Brackenber ($11.00); race 4, All the Honor ($8.20); race 6, Ma Come Pretendi ($6.20;
race 9, Count Montbrook ($8.20).
