Stronach Stable's 4-year-old gelding Euchre took advantage of a fast pace in Monday's All American Handicap (gr. III) at Bay Meadows, running down Irisheyesareflying in the stretch to earn the $82,500 winner's share of the $150,000 purse for his 1 1/2 length win. 8-5 favorite Irisheyesareflying finished second, 1 1/2 lengths ahead of Moonlight Charger.
Under Jason Lumpkins, Euchre raced in sixth early on as Prodigious ran the opening quarter-mile in :22.75 under pressure from Radar Contact and Irisheyesareflying. Euchre moved up to fourth after a half-mile in :45.69, with the runner-up advancing to second, a head behind Prodigious. Irisheyesareflying took over from there until Euchre charged down the stretch to earn the win, completing the 1 1/16 miles in 1:41.69 on a fast track.
Jorrocks came home fourth, a nose ahead of Boss Ego. Radar Contact, Prodigious, and New Advantage completed the order of finish.
