The Tin Man Twists Ankle, Will Miss Turf Cup

(from Hollywood Park notes)The Tin Man, the probable favorite for the $250,000 Hollywood Turf Cup (gr. IT) Saturday, will be forced to miss the race after suffering an ankle injury at Santa Anita.
"It happened yesterday," said trainer Richard Mandella Thursday. "He acts like he twisted it. We x-rayed it yesterday, and it didn't look too bad. But today it was swollen more."
