Fayette Breeders' Cup Stakes (gr. III) winner Jadada worked five furlongs Saturday in preparation for Friday's $400,000 Clark Handicap (gr. II). The 5-year-old son of Jade Hunter completed the drill in :58 4/5, handily. The move was the co-fastest of 17 works at the distance on the day, sharing top honors with Robert and Beverly Lewis' stakes winner Straight Man. In his most recent start, Jadada finished last of nine in the River City Handicap (gr. IIIT).
Fellow Clark nominee Rollin With Nolan also worked five furlongs at Churchill Saturday. The 3-year-old son of Summer Squall completed the breeze in 1:03 4/5. Trained by Nick Zito, Rollin With Nolan finished fourth in a Churchill allowance race earlier this month.
The 1 1/8-mile Clark is also expected to attract Captain Steve, Aptitude, Vision and Verse, Pine Dance, Kiss A Native, Dust On the Bottle, and Guided Tour.
Meanwhile, trainer Bob Baffert indicated that Lane's End Farm Breeders' Futurity (gr. II) winner Arabian Light will not run in next Saturday's Brown & Williamson Kentucky Jockey Club (gr. II).
