Keeneland Catalogs 1,917 Horses for January Sale

Keeneland has cataloged 1,917 horses for its 2004 January Horses of All Ages Sale. The five-day auction begins Monday, Jan. 12 at 10 a.m.

The entries are 827 broodmares, 191 broodmare prospects, 634 yearlings, 152 racing or broodmare prospects, six racing or stallion prospects, 81 racing prospects, 21 stallion prospects, three stallions, and two stallion shares.

"We've had a tremendous year in 2003," said Geoffrey Russell, Keeneland's director of sales. "The yearling and weanling markets were especially strong, so we're hopeful that the momentum will continue into our January sale."

Edmund Gann's grade I winner You is cataloged to the sale as a broodmare prospect as part of the Mill Ridge Sales consignment.

The entire January catalog should be available and searchable at www.keeneland.com by Dec. 1.
