Gotham City to Applebite in California

Gotham City, who showed record speed at the 2000 Barretts March sale of 2-year-olds in training, has joined the stallion roster at Joan Rogers' Applebite Farms near French Camp, Calif. His fee is $1,500.

Gotham City's time of 10 seconds for an eighth-mile was the fastest in Barretts March sale history. Sold for $2 million at the sale, Gotham City started twice, but finished unplaced both times. A son of Saint Ballado, Gotham City is a half-brother to stakes winners Krikiti and Streamer and is out of the In Reality mare What a Reality.
