Quero Quero, a 3-year-old filly who surprised with an upset victory in the Honeymoon Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. II) at Hollywood Park in June before going to the sidelines, is scheduled to return in the $70,000-added Audrey Skirball-Kenis Stakes Nov. 23, trainer Paulo Lobo said Thursday.

"She came out of the race with puffy ankles," explained Lobo of the layoff. "I just blistered them and gave her time." Quero Quero, named after a Brazilian songbird, worked six furlongs on the main track in 1:13 2/5 Monday.

Tyler Baze has the call in the 1 1/8-mile turf race for 3-year-old fillies named in memory of Audrey Skirball-Kenis. A longtime Thoroughbred owner and philanthropist, she died in 2002 at age 87. Quero Quero, a daughter of Royal Academy, has won two of five starts and earned $188,220 for Old Friends Inc.
