Member tracks of the Southern Racing Cooperative, which includes Oaklawn Park and Fair Grounds among others, have thus far declined to import the Hollywood Park simulcast signal because of an impasse in negotiations.

Officials for the Southern Racing Cooperative, Hollywood Park, and parent company Churchill Downs Inc., remained without an agreement Wednesday afternoon, one day after the opening of the Hollywood live meet. However, Bobby Geiger, spokesperson for the Southern Racing Cooperative and simulcast director at Oaklawn, indicated a deal could be imminent.

"It's not a major issue (that's holding up negotiations), so we hope to have something completed as quickly as possible," Geiger said.

Hollywood Park is dark Wednesday with live racing resuming Thursday. Among the tracks not taking the Hollywood Park signal are Prairie Meadows, Sam Houston, Retama Park, Delta Downs, Sunland Park, Sun Ray Park, and Beulah Park.

Excluding Hollywood, simulcasting signals from all other CDI tracks remain available through the Southern Racing Cooperative.
