In a surprise decision, Godolphin Racing has opted to run Sakhee in the Breeders' Cup Classic and Fantastic Light in Saturday's Turf at Belmont Park. With both horses pre-entered in both races, it had been widely speculated that Irish Champion Stakes winner Fantastic Light would go in the Classic and his stablemate would go in the Turf. Sakhee is owned by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al Maktoum, who also owns another key Turf contender, Mutamam. Both Fantastic Light and Sakhee worked on the main track at Belmont Park on Tuesday."I am happy with Sakhee," said trainer Saeed bin Suroor, in a story on Godolphin's Web site. "He is ready. I think he handled the dirt this morning very well. The last time Sakhee worked on the dirt he was a little bit slow. Today he handled the dirt very well, he moved great and his action was good. I am happy with him and Fantastic Light. The times were good for both of them and there is not much difference between them. ""I think it was the right decision," assistant trainer Tom Albertrani said. "This way we have two good chances to win."
