The breeding shed and barns at what was Ben P. Walden Jr.'s Vinery might look awfully familiar to 11-year-old stallions Shuailaan and Furiously. Both stallions stood at Vinery near Midway, Ky., at one time, but later took up stallion residence elsewhere. Now, Alfred Nuckols Jr. of Hurstland Farm announced that Shuailaan and Furiously are back and will stand at what Nuckols has named Hurstland/Dearborn division. Nuckols is leasing part of the acreage, and plans to stand all the Hurstland stallions there. The property at one time comprised the late Ben P. Walden Sr.'s Dearborn Farm.

Shuailaan (Roberto -- Lassie's Lady, by Alydar) stood the 2000 season at Vinery Kentucky near Lexington and will stand in 2001 for $6,000 live foal, the same as the past breeding season. Furiously (Danzig -- Whirl Series, by Roberto) last stood at Breckenridge Farm near Lexington. A grade I winner, Furiously will stand for $3,500 live foal. Each stallion is syndicated and is represented by one stakes winner.
