Coolmore Stud will stand Spinning World at its Irish headquarters rather than at its North American satellite, Ashford Stud, near Versailles, Ky., for the 2002 breeding season. His fee is Ir£27,500 (approximately $31,350). The 8-year-old stallion will take the place of Coolmore stallion Giant's Causeway, who has been transferred from Ireland to the U.S. A son of Storm Cat, Giant's Causeway began his stallion career in 2001.
Spinning World (Nureyev--Imperfect Circle, by Riverman) currently holds court at Coolmore Australia. He is the sire of a pair of 2-year-old stakes winners from his first crop--French group winner Quad's Melody and German winner Chan Chan. He earlier stood a season in Japan.
Coolmore also announced fees for incoming stallions Mozart (Ir£30,000), King Charlemagne (Ir£8,000), and Mull of Kintyre (Ir£5,000), and private fees for Sadler's Wells, Danehill, and Grand Lodge.
