TVG will provide live, on-site coverage of Cal Cup XIV from Oak Tree at Santa Anita this Saturday on "Trackside Live!: Oak Tree." A portion of the program will be simulcast on Fox Sports Net 2 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. PT.

The California Cup is a 10-race program restricted to California-bred horses and offering total purse money of more than $1.3 million in a format similar to the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships.

Highlighting the Cal Cup is the $250,000 Cal Cup Classic, a 1 1/8-miles test for older horses. Serving as co-feature on the program is the $175,000 Cal Cup Mile, a turf event. The top races for fillies and mares are the $150,000 Cal Cup Matron at 1 1/16-miles on the dirt and the $150,000 Cal Cup Distaff, at 6 1/2-furlongs on the turf. The $150,000 Cal Cup Sprint is a 6-furlong race, while the $125,000 Cal Cup Juvenile and $125,000 Cal Cup Juvenile Fillies are 1 1/16-miles races. Rounding out the program is the $100,000 TVG Cal Cup Distance Handicap (for fillies and mares) at 1 1/4-miles on the turf, the $50,000 Cal Cup Starter Handicap at 1 1/2-miles on the turf and the $50,000 Cal Cup Starter Sprint Handicap at six-furlongs.
