Jockey Olivier Peslier guided Japan's reigning Horse of the Year Symboli Kris S to a decisive victory in Sunday's Tenno Sho (Jpn-I) at Tokyo's Fuchu racecourse.
Trained by Kazuo Fujisawa, the 4-year-old became the first to win back-to-back runnings of the 1 1/4-mile Tenno Sho. He finished 1 1/2 lengths in front of Tsurumaru Boy. Tenzan Seiza finished third, with Eishin Preston fourth in the 18-horse field.
Symboli Kris S. made his first starts since a fifth-place showing in the Takarazuka Kinen in June.
