Whitmore's Conn, a grade I turf winner for owners Michael and Lynn Shanley, will take up stallion service at Bert House Stud in County Kildare in Ireland in a deal worked out by International Bloodstock Agency.

Bred by Bud Wolf and Joe D'Agostino, Whitmore's Conn scored his big win in the Sword Dancer Invitational Handicap (gr. IT) at Saratoga in August and captured his second consecutive Bowling Green Handicap (gr. IIT) at Belmont Park a month earlier. During his career, he placed in five stakes, two of which were graded. In what was his final start, he ran unplaced in the Sept. 6 Man o' War Stakes (gr. IT).

A son of Kris S. who was purchased privately by the Shanleys before his first start, Whitmore's Conn retired with seven wins from 28 starts and earnings of $740,426 while trained first by Scotty Schulhofer, then by son Randy. He is a half-brother to stakes winners Tiva's Little Sis, and his dam, Albonita (by Deputed Testamony), is a half-sister to the dam of major runners Charlie Barley, Success Express, and Greenwood Lake.
