Hallowed Dreams will miss her scheduled start in the Victoria Lass due to a slight case of colic.
Hallowed Dreams was withdrawn from Saturday's $125,000 Victoria Lass Handicap Saturday at Fair Grounds due to illness. Trainer Lloyd Romero pulled her name from the field Thursday when entries were pulled.

Hallowed Dreams, who set a track record in winning last year's Victoria Lass, last finished second, behind winner My Brent's Diamond, in the Feb. 9 Pan Zareta Handicap. She has a career record of 25-1-2 from 29 career starts and has earned $729,144.

Hallowed Dreams suffered a "touch of colic," according to owner-trainer Lloyd Romero. Romero said he's not certain when Hallowed Dreams will start next.

"We have to take care of this illness first and get her better," Romero said.

In the 2002 edition of the Victoria Lass, the early morning line favorite at 5-2 is Serena's Tune, who has put together some brilliant morning works since finishing fourth in the Pan Zareta Handicap. Serena's Tune gets Robby Albarado in the saddle.

The Victoria Lass marks the seasonal return of Sweet Nanette. Lonnie Meche, aboard for her victory in the Thelma Stakes, gets the call.

The Victoria Lass field includes: Extended View (Larry Melancon); Serena's Tune (Albarado), Sweet Nanette (Meche); Sweet and Firm (Kirk LeBlanc), Run For Little Bit (Eddie Martin, Jr.), Dominica (Willie Martinez) and Lettuce Loose (Corey Lanerie).
