Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I) winner Tiznow is getting new owners following the death of majority owner Cecilia Straub-Rubens. Her daughter, Pamela Ziebarth, and son, trainer Kevin Cochran, will be the new partners of co-owner Michael Cooper in Tiznow.
Straub-Rubens, 83, died Nov. 7, three days after watching Tiznow win the $4.2 million Classic at Churchill Downs.
Cooper, who managed her business affairs, said Straub-Rubens had battled liver and spleen cancer for 16 months.
Tiznow is tentatively scheduled to run in the $500,000 Strub Stakes (gr. II) at Santa Anita in February.
