Hollywood Park has landed Cal Fed Bank, based in San Francisco, as sponsor of the April 28 California Gold Rush Day. The three-year deal makes Cal Fed Bank the official bank of the racetrack.
Cal Fed California Gold Rush Day will feature 10 stakes for California-breds. The program will be highlighted by the $250,000 Snow Chief Stakes. Total purses will be $1.3 million for the program, held on the first weekend of the spring meet.
"This is a fun way for us to bring the Cal Fed brand of banking to even more Californias," said Scott Kisling, Cal Fed's retail and commercial banking president.
Cal Fed provides Hollywood Park with all of the financial products and services. The bank is affiliated with other sporting entities, including the San Diego Padres, San Jose Sharks, UCLA Bruins, and the Fresno State Bulldogs.
