Frank Stronach's Adena Springs announced that millionaire Golden Missile will stand for $30,000 live foal in 2001 at Adena Springs Kentucky near Midway. Golden Missile, who finished unplaced in the Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I) after suffering an injury, has been sent to New York and might run next in the Nov. 25 Cigar Mile Handicap (gr. I). "He cut his hock during the Classic, and we'll have to see how things work out," said farm manager Dan Hall.

Golden Missile's fee is less than what farm stallions Awesome Again and Touch Gold command and is the same as Alphabet Soup and El Prado's price. Awesome Again's fee is $50,000, and Touch Gold stands for $40,000.

Golden Missile (A.P. Indy -- Santa Catalina, by Cure the Blues) has won seven of 24 starts and earned $2,194,510. His richest wins came in this year's Pimlico Special (gr. I) and Stephen Foster (gr. II) Handicaps.
