Graded Winner Western Echo to Running R in Louisiana

Graded stakes winner Western Echo and three others will stand the 2004 season at Murrell and Rob Redding's Running R Ranch near Opelousas, La. Western Echo, whose oldest runners are 3-year-olds, won five stakes and earned $608,716. An 11-year-old son of Eastern Echo out of the Cassaleria mare Cherry d'Or, Western Echo will stand for $2,000. He formerly stood at Xanthus Farms near Gettysburg, Pa.
Almostashar, Montana Dreamin', and Cherokee Tin will be entering stud at Running R. Five-year-old Almostashar, a $400,000 Keeneland September yearling, also will stand for $2,000. A son of A.P. Indy out of the Cherokee Colony mare Destination Mir, he won two of seven races and earned $64,420.
Eight-year-old Montana Dreamin' (Dixie Brass--La Rhapsody, by Silent Screen) won the Native Dancer Stakes and was second in four stakes during a career in which he won 14 of 60 starts and earned $442,287. His fee is $1,500.
Four-year-old Cherokee Tin, a son of Tinners Way out of the Cherokee Colony mare Amazon Annie, won three of 15 starts. His fee is $1,000.
