Emerald Downs Racing Director to Resign

Emerald Downs director of racing Grant Holcomb is resigning, vice president Jack Hodge announced Oct. 21.

Holcomb, whose resignation is effective Dec. 31, is leaving Emerald Downs after eight seasons as director of racing to pursue other career opportunities, according to a track press release.

"Grant has been an integral part of the racing program here at Emerald Downs since our inception," Hodge said. "We have valued his work and will miss his contributions to our team, but we understand his desire to take on new challenges and wish him continued success."

While no successor was named Hodge said that the Emerald Downs would be actively considering applications.
