Charles Fipke's Shadwell Turf Mile (gr. IT) winner Perfect Soul (Ire) stretched his legs on the Keeneland grass Tuesday morning in his final preparation for the NetJets Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT) to be run at Santa Anita Park on Saturday.
The 5-year-old bay son of Sadler's Wells wore his usual blinkers and broke off easily from the pole, remaining in the middle of the course despite the absence of dogs. He worked the first quarter in a pedestrian time of :27, but picked it up considerably in the final furlong to post a final clocking of :38 2/5 over the firm turf course.
The Roger Attfield trainee will ship to California early Wednesday morning. Jose Santos will ride Perfect Soul Saturday.
