European horses invited to the inaugural $500,000 American Oaks for 3-year-old fillies at 1 1/4 miles on turf July 6 at Hollywood Park are expected to arrive Monday, according to Hollywood Park racing secretary Martin Panza.
Expected to make the trip are Prix Penelope winner Ombre Legere and Prix de Sandringham runner-up Clerical Error from France and Irish National Stud Debutant winner Saranac Lake from Ireland.
Among American invitees, multiple stakes winner Cellars Shiraz was flown from Florida on Tuesday by trainer William Cesare, where she's residing in trainer David LaCroix's Barn 66.
Trainer James Bond is scheduled to fly Sands Point Stakes runner-up Cyclorama west from New York on Friday. Victor Espinoza has the call. Sands Point winner Riskaverse, trained by Patrick Kelly, is expected Monday.
Maliziosa, who notched her third straight victory in the Summertime Promise Breeders' Cup Handicap at Hawthorne May 25, will be ridden by Mike Smith for trainer Bill Mott.
Also expected for the American Oaks are California-based Megahertz and Arabic Song. French-import Dublino woked six furlongs on the turf last week with Kent Desormeaux aboard.
