Irish Group Winner Century City Coming to U.S.

Three-year-old Century City, who was bought by Tom Nichols and John J. Greely IV's Kitchwa Stable shortly before winning the July 13 Goffs International Stakes (Ire-II) at the Curragh, is scheduled to be shipped to trainer C. Beau Greely in the U.S. Sold for approximately $2.2 million at the 2000 Goffs October yearling sale, Century City previously raced for Sue Magnier and Michael Tabor. This year, he has won three stakes and run second in two stakes, including the Entenmanns Irish Two Thousand Guineas (Ire-I). Plans call for Century City (Danzig--Alywow, by Alysheba) to stand at the Greely brothers' Wintergreen Stallion Station near Midway, Ky., following his retirement.
