Zafonic to Arrowfield in Australia
Juddmonte Farms' Zafonic will stand at Arrowfield Stud in Australia.
Australia's Arrowfield Stud, which recently lost the services of deceased stallion End Sweep, announced that it will stand the proven sire Zafonic (Gone West – Zaizafon by The Minstrel) in 2002 on behalf of Prince Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms. Zafonic has sired 24 stakes winners.

"Zafonic is a great stallion and we are delighted to secure such a high class horse for our roster," said Arrowfield chairman John Messara. "He was an outstanding racehorse and has gone on to be a top class European stallion. As a proven stallion in the cauldron of European racing, he is a fantastic addition to the Australian breeding scene."

Zafonic finished the 2002 Northern Hemisphere season with a full book of mares at £20,000 and will serve his debut season at Arrowfield at A$38,500 (GST included).
