Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) contender Tiger Hunt breezed five-eighths of a mile in 1:01 at Churchill Downs Oct. 18, and his ownership team has high hopes.

Trainer Elliott Walden said the son of Kris S. is right on schedule. "He seemed to come out (of the work) fine, and he'll ship to Calfornia (Oct. 21)," Walden said.

Earlier, Team Valor Stable president Barry Irwin indicated the Juvenile would provide too much pressure for the developing 2-year-old, but after the work, he said: "We're doing it for one reason only. If we win, we'll be the 2-year-old champion."

Tiger Hunt broke his maiden July 5 at Churchill Downs. On Labor Day, he won the 1 1/16-mile Miller Genuine Draft Cradle Stakes at River Downs. Originally purchased for $170,000, Tiger Hunt has earnings of $227,320.
